12.10.11 The old Anarea website at http://prwild.users.btopenworld.com is no longer being updated as my BT broadband account is closing. The www.anarea.com URL forwards to www.prwild1.webspace.virginmedia.com, which is now the only live, updated version of the website. Please ensure you have updated your Favourites to the current location.

23.12.11 Random Character Specification speadsheet is now at v8 in .xlsx format.

Anarea is a fantasy role-playing universe, which I, Philip Wild, have been running since 1979 and is now in its 6th game year. This website is intended primarily as a reference source for the players, but anyone else who is interested is welcome to browse it.

The DM Says...

We have concluded the Season of Winter 2504-05 and started on Spring 2505. The ongoing storyline is entitled "A Darker Nature: Tooth and Claw". The News for Winter is now available. We have finished the month of Destri 2505. Players should submit experience claims and any outstanding plots for Destri 2505 and their plots for Kemel 2505.

Rather than require plots to be run within a set meta time limit, I am now stating the Game Time date the leading players have run to on this homepage, and will not accept any plot submitted for a date more than 1 month behind the current Game Time. The pace at which game time will move forward will be dictated by the plots of the majority of players and my free time to run those plots.

A battle has been fought on the River Nivran in the North-Western Gap Protectorate between the Valdrean Imperial Army, under the command of Cedric, 2nd Champion of Bavenne, Lord Warden of the Northern Military District, defending the river line, and the massed Badlander Clans heading South from Horning Crags, under the command of Morro McOmechar, Warlord of the Badlanders and Lord Protecor of the Gap. The Valdreans have been driven back from the river line, but the official line in Valdran is that they have inflicted heavy casualties on the reckless and ill-disciplined Badlanders, and are falling back in good order in a strategic withdrawal. In North Camp, however, McOmechar has claimed a great victory.
